Artwork you can eat...



Artist and photographer Carl Warner began his career in landscape and still photography, working many years in the advertising industry. Whilst out shopping he happened upon a market with Portobello mushrooms that reminded him of trees from an alien world, This idea developed into his first Foodscape.

Daisuke Sakaguchi Artist and Designer

Daisuke Sakaguchi is a Creative Designer and Artist based in London, Daisuke takes influence from his fusion of Japanese and British roots creating work that brings both cultures together, be it traditional Japanese imagery or London based graffiti jewellery. Daisuke graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA (Hons) Degree in Jewellery Design, Daisuke has had his work featured in galleries in Soho and Covent garden and his jewellery worn by the likes of Rhianna and Estelle. More Than Paper Airplanes...

I found a link to this blog whilst looking for paper airplane images, i got more than paper airplanes! the blog is entirely dedicated to paper craft, take a look at the huge amount of variety that the artists featured create using just paper!

Seo Young-Deok Sculptures

Artist Seo Young-Deok creates his amazing sculptures from old bike chains and other waste metals, this particular sculpture uses over a mile of bike chain, the work takes many months to complete with some costing £25,000 to create. Make sure to check out the gallery pictures on the website to show the size of some of his work.

Sketching with a Bandsaw

These amazing sculptures are created by designer James McNabb for his design company McNabb & Co. They are described as 'Sketching' with the band saw  McNabb creates them by cutting into lengths of wood creating random patterns, Check out his website for many more amazing pieces.

Skateboard Sculptures - Haroshi

Artist Haroshi creates amazing sculptures from old skateboard decks he finds around his native home of Tokyo, Japan. Haroshi creates his pieces by layering and gluing broken decks and parts together, then using a range of tools to sand them to the desired shape. Haroshi himself has skated since an early age and is entirely self taught with his sculpture work. There are many interesting pieces on his site that are worth looking at

Skills with Cardboard

I came accross this artist by the name of Bartek Elsner whilst looking for pictures of carboard construction. If you Google his name you can find his site where he participates in many other projects, but for me his work with cardboard is by far his best stuff. He has created an entire blog of his cardboard work here.

Books and Lights

This is English artist Alexander Korzer-Robinson who cuts through illustrated encylopedias to create these amazing works of art, he has many more on his site so have a look.

Also here is a lamp from Slovakian designer Veronika Paluchova, there are lots of interiors and objects on her page that could provide inspiration so have a look!
