The Great Norbury Manor Bake-Off (Weeks One and Two)

For the last two Thursdays something amazing has been taking place in the Norbury Manor kitchens... 8 Students have entered the 'Great Norbury Bake Off' to find out who really is NMBEC's official master baker...

The first week was the well known Victoria sponge and the results can be seen below... they were all absolutely delicious. The secoond week we had the pleasure of the traditional English tea time snack, the scone which was equally pleasurable to judge ;)...

Good luck in the coming weeks girls... If you still want to get involved see Miss Kershaw and be available on Thursdays between 1530 and 1700.

Inventing is Fun Competition

For the deep learning day on April 23rd 2013 Year 7 were challenged to enter the Inventing is Fun competition which was run by MIBA - the Museau d'idee i invents de Barcelona (basically the spanish design museum). They were challenged with the task of creating the funniest invention possible and had to present it to the class at the end of the day.

The winners, from 7 B, F, G and P, were the "De-Stinkers" who came up with the hilarious "Fart Freshener". Click above to see the video that was sent off to MIBA as the official Norbury Manor entry and will go head to head with entries from all across the globe.
